What we didn’t hear, is a sculpture piece that is driven by the concept of misunderstandings. Twenty lenses are supported by copper metal. On the flat side of the lenses, two-way mirror film is attached turning the lenses into mirrors on one side. On the other curved side, the lenses are engraved with sayings of singular or repeated words based on the selection of 4 words: afraid, respect, sorry and love. A few of the lenses remain blank. When viewing the lenses on the curved engraved side, the viewer can see through the lenses to an upside down view of others and the environment.
